Welcome to REFOLD! This website contains entries for refolding protocols for a wide range of proteins. REFOLD is an excellent way of dissminating refolding protocols and techniques to the scientific community. The data on this site is freely available to all.

You can:
  • Browse the database
  • Search the database on specific terms
  • BLAST your sequence against REFOLD database
  • Compare refolding records with difference/similarity highlighting on attributes
  • Register and become a REFOLD user free of charge
  • Once registered, access a personal User Space page that keeps track of your past searches and comparisons
  • Login if you are already a registered user
  • Deposit your own refolding data using a simple form
  • Access more information and resources about REFOLD and protein refolding

Cannot refold your protein?

We are in the process of using the data in REFOLD to build an intelligent 'protocol designer' that will help users refold their proteins. Please help us, and the whole community by depositing your data. This is especially true for proteins that cannot be refolded - understanding why some proteins do not refold under known conditions will help us design better protocols.
